Born in Trieste
in 1939, in the early afterwar period he moved with
his family to Sardinia, where he lived until 1954,
when his father won a competition as head physician
at the Hospital Riuniti in Salerno.
Following the tradition of his family, after having
got his Diploma at the Liceo Classico, he enrolled
at the Faculty of Medicine, but, after having passed
some exams, he decided to move to the Faculty of Letters
and Philosophy at the University of Urbino, where
he got his degree in Classical Letters. Then he attended
the specializing School of Archaeology in Urbino and
the Institute of Japanese Culture in Rome, where he
got a diploma as interpreter and translator in the
Japanese language. His keen intelligence led him to
devote his life to the in-depth study of a wide range
of different subjects, and specially to the classical
ones.
Fond of travelling, a polyglot, a free spirit, active
member of the old University goliardery, in 1992 he
decided to found a new Publishing House, which was
the expression of his lifestyle: OTIUM AC NEGOTIUM. |
